Nevertheless, this IS a fantastic week to buy fresh Organic Green Cabbage to use for your St. Patty’s Day cooking and more! Many stores promote Organic Green Cabbage around this holiday. What makes this year different from the last several is that growing conditions for Organic Green Cabbage have been ideal over the winter in Florida, allowing for huge harvests this month of high quality product. Raw Cabbage is crunchy and has a lightly spicy zip to the flavor, while cooked Cabbage mellows out and becomes sweeter. Cabbage will hold up in your fridge for a couple of weeks, so buy some for your Corned Beef and Cabbage recipe or even a vegan version this week and save a head for Cole Slaw, Soup, Braised Cabbage, Salad, Cabbage Rolls, Colcannon, or something else tasty next week.
